Can fixing your microbiome, fix your cancer?

Can fixing your microbiome, fix your cancer?

Everybody with cancer has a poor microbiome - having lost the volume and diversity of the good bacteria and gained the pathogens; then conventional treatment makes it all worse; but research shows that people who fix it survive significantly longer.

Only recently, 'experts' suggested that addressing the sarcoma microbiome offered a potential treatment route, for this difficult-to-cure cancer. We know oestrogen-driven breast cancer is linked to a loss of the Lactobacillus family; HER2 cancer, however, has a completely different microbiome; colorectal cancer is linked to a bacterium from your mouth and a loss of butyrate, a compound made in the gut. Kidney and bladder cancers can be linked to E coli and yeasts; Pancreatic cancer and liver cancer can be linked to yeasts and also bacteria in the mouth; Lung cancer, like brain cancer, responds to the gut-lung or gut-brain axis; with the brain astrocytes even being calmed by a compound uniquely produced in the gut, and the microbiome causing everything from allergies to COPD before lung cancer.

Chris Woollams wrote his first article on the Gut Microbiome in 2005 and his first book in 2008.

The profile of the microbiome is also reflective of your diet - he wrote the Rainbow Diet in 2006. Rainbow diet foods increase levels of bacteria that make anti-inflammatory molecule - yes, just what you need to beat cancer!

On Sunday 23rd November, Chris will answer your questions covering anything and everything from 'What is the microbiome?' to 'How do I fix it?'

He'll tell you what is inside any microbiome you care to ask about, and what you need to do and when. Only recently, one of his patients who had had Colorectal cancer in the lungs and liver was signed off as 'all clear' after two years - No Evidence of Disease. When the oncologist asked her how she thought she did it, she replied, "I'm with Chris Woollams and he rebuilt my microbiome". The oncologist responded, "Yes, we really must take a loot at the microbiome one day".

That day could be the 23rd November for you. This show could make a major contribution to your anti-cancer programme.
